No. 106
LIATE DESIGN was engaged to bring the clients’ clear vision to life for this beautiful space in their London townhouse. The goal was to create a clean, modern, and integrated style kitchen that incorporated convivial casual seating while ensuring it met the demands of a busy family life.
The client’s are keen art enthusiasts. They envisioned the kitchen as a blank canvas for their ever-evolving collection. The furniture features an off-white spray-painted matt lacquer finish, designed with a 45-degree edge and handle detail that allows the leathered composite worktop and integrated sink to sit neatly and discreetly into the top of the units. This minimal edge creates the impression that the worktop is floating.
The dark-stained oak surface of the island cantilevers off the edge, forming a welcoming textured breakfast bar that invites casual dining and social interaction. Additionally, the tall units incorporate a pocket door unit that conceals extra worktop space alongside freestanding appliances, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.
